BUNGLED BY BORE
This album absolutely rips. It’s great to finally have a full-length from these guys.

Billy Woods released two quality albums in one year, Aethiopes in April and Church in September. Initially Aethiopes didn’t really grab me, I think I never gave it a fair listen. But I was very into Church when it came out, enough so that I went back and gave Aethiopes another chance. Man, did I make a mistake.
Aethiopes (and Church) is one of my favorite albums of 2022.
Sugary sweet with enough edge. The album this song is from, I Swear I’m Good at This, ends up kind of running together, with a lot of stuff sounding too similar. But there are a few tracks like this one and Sixteen that really stand out as great.
The ep was great, but the full length was garbage.
Antarctica, unbeknownst to me, was probably my introduction to post rock/pretty drone. So thanks I guess.
Ex Charles Bronson, Das Oath, Holy Molar, Ampere, Orchid, etc, etc. Released on Youth Attack.
Buy it here.
The best album either EL-P or Killer Mike has made?
Picking one song to post was really hard; the entire album just slays.
This reminds me a lot of the early Single Mothers, which is not a bad thing.
Was this band big or notable? I found them a few years ago around the time their last full length came out, but know pretty much nothing about them.
Go listen to the whole album.
Members of Latterman, Iron Chic and RVIVR (which are all basically just members of Latterman)? Hell yeah.
This ep is great.

There is a line in the song Stay Positive by the Hold Steady that goes “There’s gonna come a time when the true scene leaders forget where they differ and get big picture ‘cause the kids at the shows, they’ll have kids of their own and the sing-along songs will be our scriptures.” I’m old enough that this is happening now.
In light of that, I’m going to spend the rest of the year highlighting our scriptures.
Judy is a Punk by the Ramones is some Genesis 1:1 stuff.
